1. Read better news

It’s all too easy to feel like the world is going straight to hell in a handbasket these days. But the good news is that there’s plenty of good news! It just gets buried beneath the depressing stuff, because that’s what sells papers and gets clicks.

2. Let go of that caffeine guilt

Do you ever feel like you probably should be cutting back on coffee? The daily ritual of appropriate caffeination is an endless balancing act for many of us. The next time you’re trying to reach that sweet spot between dead to the world and I WILL NEVER SLEEP AGAIN AND ALSO WHAT IS THAT BUZZING SOUND, keep in mind that science knows exactly how much coffee you should be drinking, so there’s no need to worry.

A recent scientific review confirms that a total of four cups of coffee a day is “not going to make you any healthier, but it’s not doing any damage either.” Sounds good enough to me. Read all about it over at Lifehacker:

3. Get those gains

Brain gains, that is! We’re always hearing about how exercise is good for you (and, well, it really is—like, really), but did you know that physical exercise is actually better for your brain than mental exercise?
