- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- At least four years of Oracle EBS R12 Application DBA experience along with Oracle 11g/12c Databases/Real Application Clusters (RAC)
- At least 1-2 years of administration and/or reporting experience in Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition 11g (OBIEE)
- Experience working on Unix (AIX, Linux) and Microsoft Windows platform
- Strong command of the English language
- Willingness to work in shifts (currently 11:00 am to 8:00 pm, and occasional weekend shifts)
- Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and Recovery Manager (RMAN), to monitor Oracle infrastructure, as well to backup/restore databases
- Knowledge of Unix shell scripting for performing day-to-day business operations
- Exposure to Datastage/Informatica preferred

We're looking to add an EBS/OBIEE support specialist to the team. In this role, you'll be supporting multiple business technologies including Oracle EBS, BI, and ETL.
Once you join the team, you'll be immersed in a fast-paced environment. Almost on a daily basis, you'll take care of enhancements to existing internal applications, or releases for new ones. You'll also be responsible for the performance, tuning and patching of Oracle Enterprise Business Suite (EBS) databases, related to multiple internal applications (financial, HRMS). Your experience with Oracle EBS R12 Application DBA will allow you to smoothly run maintenance for the different databases, and guarantee they're up and running with optimal performance when the teams who work with them need them the most.
Some of the challenges you will face include recovering data from multiple databases from Oracle EBS to replicate in a QA environment an issue that is happening in the production environment. Your knowledge and experience in Oracle Enterprise Manager and Recovery Manager is key to success in such cases.
You'll also use your knowledge in Unix Shell scripting to set up, test, configure and monitor new databases that are key to developing new business applications for the firm. Last but not least, you'll be playing the role of detective, working on root cause analysis when processes fail. Was it the network, the application, or the DB that caused the issue? To find out, you'll need to come out of your comfort zone, be innovative and creative.
To thrive in this position, you need to be a born problem solver with solid troubleshooting skills and a feel for operational priorities. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills go without saying, as well as the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. You'll also need a strong process management background and an interest in developing and optimizing processes.
