Socialatom Ventures, one of our business units, is a seed capital firm that combines its investments with in-house services to help entrepreneurs execute their goals faster. We normally participate in existing rounds and also provide the first investment in extraordinary cases.
We invest in global tech startups from across the Americas and are on the forefront of developing Latin America’s entrepreneurial ecosystems in every aspect from the talent pools to seed capital vehicles and supporting infrastructure.

Are you the Journalist we're looking for?

As a journalist for Socialatom Group, you'll be interviewing and writing the stories of entrepreneurs and engineers that are building incredible technology companies from Latin America for an audience of mostly U.S. entrepreneurs and VC investors. Your content will be published in our own publications as well as guest articles in established U.S. publications.
By shining a spotlight on the innovative software companies that are disrupting global industries, we'll help the world learn about a different narrative beyond the stereotypes of drug trade and violence.
You'll be asked to submit at least 20 writing samples (these can include school essays).

How we'd like you to help us:

  • Conduct interviews
  • Write stories
  • Edit stories from contributors
  • Create quarterly editorial calendars

What we'd like to see in the candidate:

  • Incredible writing skills and native English proficiency
  • B.A. in liberal arts (journalism, political science...)

Compensation and perks

  • Your monthly salary will be 2,500,000 COP.
  • We'll cover your roundtrip from and to your hometown.
  • We'll provide housing (private room in our corporate apartment, with a gym, a pool, and a doorman).
  • We'll assist you with placement in media companies in the U.S. or Latin America.
