Native Teams launched in 2020. In just four years, their team grew to 260 people, and their Work Payments and Employer of Record services now support over 80,000 individual and business users in 70+ countries. Looking to offer an even more complete solution for EOR clients looking to relocate team members, Native Teams partnered with Jobbatical to support their users in global mobility.

Looking for global reach with a local feel

When Native Teams expanded their services to include Global Mobility, they first explored partnerships with traditional local providers. However, the team quickly realized these partnerships came with challenges, including high costs and a lack of transparency.

 “We were working with local providers, lawyers. We found them very expensive and not very transparent. Every piece of information we needed came with an additional charge. We couldn’t get a handbook with detailed processes, for example,” shares Luka Legac, VP of Global Mobility at Native Teams. 

The team knew they needed a service that was more transparent, affordable, and scalable. ​​With a global solution powered by local experts, Jobbatical ticked all the boxes: bringing Native Teams savings of at least 30%—and up to 50% for certain countries and cases—, transparent processes, and easy access to essential information.

“With Jobbatical, we always have an overview of all the steps that need to be taken for each case. That really helps us because clients come to us with a lot of questions and, of course, we want to provide the best answer. Now, I know I can find it on the Jobbatical platform and simply provide it to the client,” shares Marija Topolovec, Global Mobility Manager.

Beyond tech or price, Native Teams valued experience. They needed a mobility partner who could guarantee their clients’ candidates a fully assisted relocation journey.

With previous providers, the team sometimes faced unresponsiveness and delays, leading to frustrated clients. “If we had a country-specific question, I needed to reach out to the lawyers, but then they're not handling immigration. So, they gave me their colleague’s contact, and I needed to reach out to them instead. All of this takes time. Meanwhile, the clients are waiting and getting impatient and I still haven't reached somebody who can answer my question,” Marija explains. 

The importance of hands-on human guidance, regardless of market, was clear. Relocation is a sensitive process and Native Teams knew that minimizing pain points and ensuring their clients and candidates felt supported was essential for the service’s success. 

 “Relocating for work can be very stressful. If we don’t get the information fast enough, clients naturally get a bit nervous about the whole process,” Luka notes. “Having someone holding their hand is a must for the process to feel safe. We want to guarantee that candidates migrate without issues and with full compliance, so they can focus on their role, not immigration. We handle everything: we take care of the candidate, so they can take care of their job.”

That level of support and proximity was one of the main reasons Native Teams chose to partner with Jobbatical. With a dedicated account manager and case agents available throughout the entire relocation process, both Native Teams and their clients receive quick, personalized answers to their questions from a real person, whenever needed. “I know that Jobbatical will respond within 48 hours, and I can manage our client's expectations accordingly. It’s reassuring to know they’ll get feedback on time," notes Marija.

Multiplying team capacity

With Jobbatical as their mobility partner, Native Teams was able to handle a much higher workload without sacrificing quality, supported by Jobbatical’s AI features, automated processes, and mobility experts. 

“Your visa assessment tool, for example, has really helped me understand what we’re looking for and what the candidate will be eligible for. It’s saved me a lot of time,” says Marija. “What I love the most is receiving immediate updates. If something changes in the case or a candidate uploads new information, I get notified instantly. But at the same time, I really value human support and still find myself communicating with the specialists working on the cases a lot.”

Jobbatical’s capacity to keep the team informed through automated, real-time updates eliminates the need for constant follow-ups and reduces time spent on administrative tasks. This allows Native Teams to focus on more important aspects of the relocation process, like personalized client support and case management.

“It enables me to focus on a case so much better. I don't need to rush from case to case—I can really connect with each one, see what’s happening, understand what’s happening. So I can provide even better support to our clients,” explains Marija. 

Improving efficiency helped Native Teams scale their operations without increasing headcount. With just a small mobility team of three, they are now handling up to 80 relocation cases per year, with Jobbatical’s support.

“The numbers speak for themselves. We're a team of three, and our third member joined just four months ago. We handled 80 cases this year alone. Without Jobbatical’s help, that would definitely not have been possible. That’s a volume that completely exceeds the work of only three people" Marija shares.

A partnership in expansion

Native Teams’ partnership with Jobbatical is growing fast. As they expand their services, they count on Jobbatical’s support in more and more countries. “We’ve even directly recommended you to other companies based on our experience,” Luka shares. “Right now, we’re collecting the demand from our clients and extending the partnership to new countries.” 

Marija adds, “I already feel like Jobbatical is part of Native Teams. Your colleagues feel like our own because I talk to them just like I would with someone working directly for us.”
