Relocation
If you’re relocating international talent — and if you’re reading this, you probably are — you know it comes with a lot of moving parts. That’s why we built the Jobbatical platform to begin with: to give you an easy way to manage all your relocations in one place, automate repetitive tasks and, at the end of the day, give your international employees a delightful relocating experience.
We’re constantly improving the platform to make relocation management as smooth as possible. Here’s a quick look at the latest platform updates, as well as some of the more exciting future plans. (Spoiler alert: more AI? Why not!)
Happening now
After your international employees get settled in, you still need to keep track of their permits and visas, always ready to renew anything that’s about to expire.
To give you a more comprehensive overview of your international employees’ immigration status on Jobbatical, we’ve released a new feature: Cases with documents due to expire or already expired can now be run as a report
Document expiry reports.
What does this mean?
For any employee relocations you have active on Jobbatical, you will be able to keep an eye on which documents are about to expire in the next 7 to 180 days or have already expired (we hope you don’t have many of those).
Why is this good?
You probably want to avoid situations where your employees’ residence permits or visas expire without you noticing. This can cause a lot of uncomfortable situations and frantic calls to the immigration authorities. With these new reports, you can stay ahead of the game and prepare all your renewals in good time. Bottom line: way less stress for you and your employees. Enjoy!

Automated assessments and integrations with HR platforms
We’re all about letting machines do the busywork so you can focus on being human. There are many tedious steps in the immigration and relocation process that still rely heavily on manual tasks done by people whose time could be put to much better use.
One of them is the very first step: assessing if a person is eligible for relocation to your location. Usually, a human being would have to go through a bunch of information to figure this out. But we think we all have better things to do than rifle through papers.
So we’re taking the vast combined knowledge of our immigration experts and translating it into an automated process. Instead of people, AI will be able to determine if your talent can be relocated.
In addition to this automated assessment, we are working on more integrations with HR platforms you use in your day-to-day life.
